Enjoying nature is something we’re known for best! Like other communities across our nation, we too have been exploring,
developing and enjoying corridors of open space. These corridors connect nature with man; present with past; recreation with
education.
With the existing two-mile multi-use trail a master plan is being developed to increase the trail system by twenty miles.
This trail will give citizens and tourists the opportunity to experience historical, cultural, recreational, environmental and
educational resources all at once.
Bicyclists, skaters and runners can enjoy the paved trail, while naturalists can enjoy some of the designated unpaved
portions of the trail. Features such as nature paths, observation decks, boardwalks, trailhead (parking, signage, bike racks,
and picnic areas) and rest areas will be among the amenities offered.
Come explore our shore and experience first hand what it means to get closer by the minute to family, friends, and nature!
