| Sample Itineraries |
 |
These ideas are only a sample of the variety our area has to offer your tours. Were the ideal destination for mystery tours! Our most popular attraction is the beach, of course, so be sure to plan plenty of free time and enjoy it!
| DAY 1 | "CATCH THE ISLAND SPIRIT" |
| Start the day off right with a stroll on the sugar-white beaches. You can comb the shore for seashells, watch the dolphin play or go for a dip in the sparkling Gulf of Mexico. After a southern style breakfast, complete with grits, you might enjoy feeding the sea gulls on the boardwalk at the public beach or exploring the 6,000-acre Gulf State Park on bicycles...watch for the alligators! For a different perspective, pack a picnic lunch and take in an afternoon cruise. Discover the calm back bays and secluded inlets under the quiet power of the wind. For dinner, only a feast of fresh gulf seafood will do. |
| |
| DAY 2 | "DISCOVER OUR SHORES" |
| It's off to Fort Morgan, where Admiral David Farragut made his historic battle cry, "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!" Located at the west end of the island, it's a 22-mile drive down scenic Highway 180. Explore the vaulted corridors as your tour guide recaptures the fort's colorful history. The museum is filled with Civil War memorabilia and there is also a small gift shop. Next, board the Mobile Bay Ferry, which docks at Fort Morgan, for a 30-minute ride across Mobile Bay to Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. It's a short drive to the beautiful Bellingrath Gardens and Home. Tour 65-acres of landscaped gardens and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Come back to the island in time for dinner and a game of miniature golf! |

| DAY 3 | "TREASURE HUNT" |
| From the beach boutiques to souvenir shops and outlet centers, there are spots for everyone to find a treasure to take home. Start at the shops on Highway 182 East at Perdido Pass and work your way back to Highway 59 and up to the Tanger Factory Outlet Center. A host of antique shops offer valuable treasures from the past. Pottery, sculptures, art, jewelry and photographs by local artists can be found in many shops on the island. On the way back, take County Road 10 to Bon Secour, where shrimp boats deliver their fresh catch that is shipped all across the country. Or, spend the afternoon with the dogs at the Greyhound Track. |
| |
| DAY 4 | "S.O.S." |
| Help! So much to do, how do you choose? Todays choices include a half-day deep sea fishing trip, a game of golf on a championship course, a tennis match, scuba diving or snorkeling, country trail ride, or just relaxing under an umbrella on the beach with a good book. To the east, explore the wonder of flight at the National Museum of Aviation History, just across the state line in Florida. The perfect ending to this day is a spectacular sunset cruise along the shoreline, returning to port as the stars sprinkle the sky over the Gulf. |
| |
| DAY 5 | "BEYOND THE BEACH" |
| It's a busy day! Begin it with an approximate one-hour ride to the spectacular Malbis Greek Orthodox Church. Master builders and painters from Greece built this beautiful replica of a Byzantine church in Athens, Greece. Next stop across Mobile Bay is Battleship Memorial Park, featuring the hero ship of World War II, the U.S.S. Alabama, the submarine Drum, aircraft and military displays and a gift shop. After lunch in Mobile, tour the Mobile City Museum or the historic antebellum homes for which the south is famous. Take the scenic route back to the island on Highway 98 down the Eastern Shore, through moss-draped oaks of Fairhope and Point Clear. On the way back, put your feet up and rest because tonight its dinner and dancing at your favorite island night spot. |
