Convention Services

The Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau wants to be your partner in planning your most successful meeting ever. To assist you in bringing your meeting to the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast, we will:

1. Liaison with local public officials to secure letters of invitation and coordinate welcome for convention opening ceremonies;
   
   
2. Assist local and state organization leaders in presentation of official convention bid;
   
   
3. Coordinate competitive proposals from area convention and meeting facilities;
   
   
4. Coordinate facility site inspections, area familiarization tour, and appropriate hotel/meeting facility profiles and convention planning checklists;
   
   
5. Assist in generating media exposure through local media contacts;
   
   
6. Provide list of local sources for services and supplies;
   
   
7. Facilitate planning with guest speakers, attractions, restaurants, spouse programs, theme parties and children's' activities;
   
   
8. Provide delegate name badges at a nominal fee (advance notice is required);
   
   
9. Provide area promotional literature and plastic welcome bags for convention registration (Quantities based on registration figures);
   
   
10. Make available color slides and clip art for use in developing your promotional literature;
    
    
11. Coordinate volunteer registration personnel to assist with registration and provide information on the local area;
    
    
12. Make every effort to accommodate any special requirements your organization may have.
